The results are in...
When we got back from our appointment. Alexis looked at us and pleaded:
"Please! Tell me it's a girl."
Of course, we had to tell her it was a boy and she burst into tears and hid under the dinner table. We talked to her a bit...and she seems to be ok with it now. Carter's excited...as are the rest of us.

Congratulations! Seems like when you have older kids at least one of them always ends up disappointed :) Good thing they get over it fast!
Yay for boys! We're having one too and we took Emma to the ultrasound and when the tech announced it was a boy, she just about lost it. Then Jeff told her he'd still buy her a pink rally monkey and she got over it. Too funny. Last week we told her she could have a pink rally monkey if we had a girl and she could share it but of course she wins:)
woo hoo! How exciting! Poor Alexis...that's just too funny. Congrats you guys! BOYS are fabulous! =)
well ya know, i have 3 of my own, so of course i'm going to say that BOYS RULE! but no, really, I am so excited for you! Carter will be such a good big brother and Alexis will be a good 2nd mommy to him I'm sure! :)
Yea! boys are so cute... and you make cute ones judging by carter... so I am excited to meet little boy pitt.
Congrats! Wow I was wrong! Hard for me to admit because it rarely happens, ha! ha! Boys are way more easier! Don't think I could handle more than 1 girl, don't know how my parents handled 4!!!
Congratulations! We know all about boys over here.
Alexis is so going to be fine with the fact that she gets to be the top princess of the palace for sure! Now everything can still be all about her as the only girl!
Kierstin always thought she wanted a sister and finally realized just how good she has it being the only girl!!
i had a feeling you were gonna have a little boy next. that will be so fun for Carter to have a little buddy. and Alexis is going to love being the only girl for a little while longer.
Congratulations! That day is almost as finding out you're pregnant. :)
YAY! CONGRATS!
Congrats on the boy! This must be the year for boys. Kiersten was upset too when we found out we were having a boy, but we kept telling her she's the only princess and that seemed to help.
Ha Alexis is so cute! Congratulations!
OH BOY!!!
We are excited for you, it must be a season for boys, we wish you all the best.
Poor Alexis! I did have to giggle out loud at that one though. Congratulations!
